SoCo Studios

SoCo Studios is a 90-day seasonal gathering space for the Hatafu — our community of practitioners, artists, and change-makers exploring what happens when we hold space together.

Season One opens Wednesday, 1 April, 2026 at 28 Johnston St, Fitzroy.

  • Strong pedestrian exposure with direct street access. Main function room right off the street for workshops, pop-ups, talks, salons, and small activations.

  • Main function room for events, middle room with shelving for desk/prep/storage, and an enclosed room for office, admin, or partner base use.

  • Great public transport access with tram and bus connections nearby. Two toilets, one shower, and a basic kitchen zone with sink and cupboards.

SoCo Studios operates in seasons, not leases. This keeps us nimble, responsive, and low on founder dependency.

Season One: April 1 – June 30, 2026
Season Two: July 1 – September 30, 2026

Single event

For: One-night gatherings, workshops, or intimate celebrations

You get: 5-hour block, basic AV, kitchen access, community welcome

Residency

For: Regular rhythm-makers who need a consistent home base

You get: 2 days/week access, keyholder status, seasonal check-ins, inclusion in community care roster

Pop up

For: Multi-day experiments, mini-residencies, or short intensives

You get: 2-7 days exclusive access, storage during your pop-up, cross-promotion to SoCo network

Anchor Partner

For: Organisations and collectives ready to steward the space alongside us

You get: Priority booking, governance input, 4 days/week access, co-hosting opportunities, revenue share on your events
